Obituary of Margaret Dowdy Cutshaw

Margaret Dowdy Cutshaw, 87 of  Huddleston, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at  her home.  She was born on Thursday, October 23, 1930 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Hampton Otey Dowdy and Ruth Burnette Dowdy.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Lee Cutshaw and brothers, Lewis Dowdy and Lucian Dowdy.

She was a Dental Assistant at Dr. E.Y. Lovelace and was a member of Huddleston United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Karen C. Bartley (Roddy Mackay) of Roanoke and Tracy C. Webster (Thomas) of Huddleston; a granddaughter, Heather Eubank (Nick); a grandson, Jacob Webster;  and great-granddaughter, Sydney Ann Light.  

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston and a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  Interment will be in Leftwich Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
