Obituary of John Edward Vaughan

John Edward Vaughan, 71, of  Lynch Station, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on Monday, February 3, 1947 in Campbell County, a son of the late Herman Bennett Vaughan and Hattie Reva Tucker Vaughan. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Vaughan Haskins & her husband, Douglas.  He was a retired foreman at Moore Electric and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict.  

He is survived by his life time companion, Patsy Trent, of Lynch Station; sister, Betty Jean Vaughan, of  Hurt; niece, Kim Hudson & husband, Charlie; nephew,  Bryant Haskins & wife, Leslie,  great-niece, Kara Hudson, great- nephews, Jakob & Colby Haskins; stepson, Gary Trent & wife, Tammy; stepdaughter, Sherri Hailey, grandsons, Wyatt & Darin Trent.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM at First Southern Baptist Church of Hurt with Pastor Sam Knauss officiating.  Interment will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.  Family will receive friends from 3:00 till 5:00 PM Sunday at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
