Obituary of Aubrey Ross Dooley

Aubrey Ross Dooley, 83 of Bedford, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 in Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born January 28, 1935 in Bedford County, a son of the late Glen L. Dooley and Viola Heck Dooley.  He was a retired equipment operator with the Virginia Department of Transportation.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen Arthur & husband, Travis of Forest; Lisa Dooley of Forest; his granddaughters, Brittany Combs, Kaitlyn Ellis, Alison Ellis, Emily Ellis all of Forest; his brothers, Billy Dooley & wife, Nellie of Thaxton, Harold Dooley & wife, Penny of Charlotte, NC as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Earl Ragland officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Wednesday at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
