Obituary of Bevie Wilkes West

Bevie Wilkes West, 92 of  Huddleston, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Runk & Pratt.  She was born on Sunday, January 31, 1926  in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Otho Wilkes and Nannie McBride Wilkes.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Walter "Pete" West.

She was a retired Hairdresser and was a member of  Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.  

She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Witt, Shirley Quarles, Frances Mitchell, Lucille Creasey, a special nephew, Dennis West as well as several other nieces & nephews.  

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and a funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm  with Pastor Jane Whitehead officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
