Obituary of Shane Thomas Key
Shane Thomas Key, 30 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born July 12, 1987 in Bedford, a son of Thomas Earl Key, Jr. & Toni Jean Hammans Key both of Bedford and both of whom survive.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Thomas E. & Christine A. Key and his uncle, Donnie Key.
He was a welder with Bankers Steel.
In addition to his father & mother, he is survived by a son, Aiden Rowan Key of Bedford; his brothers, Wesley Austin Key of Ohio, Tyler Steven Key, Levi Brandon Key both of Florida, Chase Willie Key of Bedford; his maternal grandparents, Rex & Brenda Hammans of Bedford; his nephew, Atlas Key of Florida; his uncles & aunts, Ty & Angie Hammans, Wayne & Sherry Key, Dennis & Teresa Key, Jay & Bonnie Key & Teresa Key as well as numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4 PM until midnight on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Traveler on Route 43 North.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
