Obituary of Bernard Martin Bowyer

Bernard Martin Bowyer, 80 of  Bedford, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on Monday, December 20, 1937 in Bedford County, a son of the late Francis Molen Bowyer and Mary Letha Creasy Bowyer.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Ann Hanel Bowyer & his grandson, Christopher Blake Bowyer  

He was retired from B & W and was a member of  Nicopolis United Methodist Church. 

He is survived by his son, Martin Blake Bowyer & wife, Wanda of Bedford; his daughters, Mary Ann Kidd & husband, Steve, Deborah Marie Bennett & husband, Troy both of Bedford; his brother, Kenneth Lee Bowyer of Charlotte Co., VA; grandchildren, Heather Marie Witt, Brett Andrew Witt, Shawn Dean Bennett & wife, Stephanie, Amber Dawn Bennett, Joshua Aaron Bowyer as well as six great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at  Nicopolis United Methodist Church with Rev. Willie Butler officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
