Ouida Mayhew Witt, 92 of  Bedford, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Bedford County Nursing Home.  She was born on Wednesday, June 23, 1926 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Wallace L. Mayhew and Lillie Hill Mayhew.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reaves Witt & a son, Roy David Witt.

She was a retired nurses aid and was member of  Thaxton Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Reaves Witt & wife, Rhonda of Bedford; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Witt of Bedford; her sister, Minerva Johnson of Bedford; her grandchildren, Cassidy Styles & husband, Todd, Kelly Hackworth & husband, Jeff, Megan Bright, Casey Dollahan & husband, Josh and great-grandchildren, Carter & Carsyn Styles & Kord Witt.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Danny Holdren officiating.  Interment will follow in Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
