Obituary of Raymond Allen Mayhew

Raymond Allen Mayhew, 73 of Bedford, VA passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on Sunday, September 17, 1944  in Bedford County, a son of the late Harry Mayhew and Thelma Overstreet Mayhew.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Mayhew.

He was retired from Coca-Cola. 

He is survived by his wife, Zell Draper Mayhew; his son, Ricky Mayhew of Bedford; his daughter, Tina Mayhew of Bedford; his grandchildren, Logan Dawson, Jaeydin Dawson; his brother, Leonard Mayhew of Bedford; his sisters, Vernell Dillon of Bedford, Alice Meador of Moneta.  

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a memorial service will be held at 1 PM in the chapel.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
