Obituary of Joyce Wilson Craig

Joyce Wilson Craig, 80 of Bedford, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Tuesday, December 21, 1937 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late George Edward Wilson and Flora Virginia Trent Wilson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carson Franklin Craig, Sr.  

She was retired biscuit maker at Hardee's. 

She is survived by her son, Carson Franklin Craig, Jr. (Christina) of Bedford; her daughters, Wanda K. Brown of Bedford, Vicky Dooley of NC, Rhonda Wood of Madison Heights; her son, Dale Frye (Chessie) of Amherst; her sisters, Oniel Hurt of Salem, Virginia Abbott of Bedford as well as fifteen  grandchildren & thirteen great grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and a funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM with Rev. John Boyles officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
