Obituary of Charles Lee Creasy

Charles Lee Creasy, 60 of Bedford, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018.  He was born on Monday, February 17, 1958 in Bedford, a son of the late Samuel Buford Creasy and Doris Bays Creasy.  He retired from Blue Ridge Regional Jail and he also worked at Central Virginia Training Center in Lynchburg, VA.

Charles was a devoted and beloved lifetime member of the Masons.  He was a member of the Hill City Lodge #183 1998-2018, Worshipful Master 2003 & 2004; and was a member of Mackey Lodge #69 2005 - present, Worshipful Master 2013, 2015 & 2016; and member of Mentow Lodge #180 2016 - present, holding many other various positions over the years.  He was also a member of the Rustburg Chapter #23 of the Eastern Star 1999 - present.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Buford Creasy & wife, Rose; nephews, L. "Brad" Creasy & wife, Greta, Robbie Wayne Meador & wife, Lola; great nephews, Logan & Brycen Creasy and Chase Meador; best friends, Wendell & Susan Witt and  a "Special Friend", Jeanette Sublette.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.  A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Bill  Burleigh officiating.  Masonic Rites will be held by Mackey Lodge #69, assisted by Mentow #180 and any Masonic Brother who wishes to participate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Home of VA , 500 Masonic Lane, Richmond, VA  23223.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
