Obituary of Jerry Carl Raynor
Our knight in shining armor, Jerry Carl Raynor, 71 Moneta, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 7:57 PM after a lengthy battle with kidney disease and cancer. He was a devoted husband and father who dedicated his life to serving others and caring for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Raynor, his sister, Carolyn Emory and a brother, David Raynor.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Gaither Raynor; his brother, Ronald Raynor & wife, Carolyn Raynor; his children, Jeri Raynor, John Raynor & wife, Desiree; Julie Smith & husband, Andrew; his stepchildren, Amanda Wathall & husband, Jason, Crystal Martin & husband, Chris, Luke Mayhew & wife, Ashley & Miranda Laucella as well as thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, fifteen granddogs and ten grandcats.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Barnhardt Baptist Church, 1033 Brittle Street, Goodview, VA 24095 and a Celebration of Life service will follow at 1 PM.
