Obituary of Lucy McMinnis West Wells

Lucy McMinnis West Wells, 89 of Lynch Station, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at  Autumn Care of Altavista.  She was born on Friday, May 3, 1929  in Pittsylvania Co., a daughter of the late Bennie McMinnis and Maggie Dalton McMinnis.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Attaway West, Sr., her second husband, Stuart Swanson Wells, a daughter, Sandra Dick & a granddaughter, Donna Marie West.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Kelly of Altavista, Maggie West of Lynch Station; her sons, Thomas A. West, Jr., Larry West, Phillip West all of Lynch Station; her sister, Inez Hogan of Danville as well as eleven grandchildren & two great grandchildren.  
  
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Leesville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 6528 Bedford Highway, Lynch Station, VA, with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
