Obituary of Madeline Weber Cottrell

Madeline Weber Cottrell, 92 of Huddleston, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at  Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  She was born on Thursday, May 27, 1926  in Stamford, CT, a daughter of the late Charles Earinger Weber and Clarissa Burr Robinson Weber.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Harry Cottrell, a son, Ronald Harry Cottrell, a grandson, Bryan H. Cottrell, a granddaughter, Diana Lynn Cottrell & a son-in-law, Samuel E. Edwards. 

She was a member of the Patmos United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Red Hat Society & the Dixie Acres Card Club. 

She is survived by her daughter, Madeline Edwards; her son, Harry Cottrell & wife, Elizabeth; her grandchildren, Samuel Edwards & wife, Rhonda, Tallie Griffith & husband, Dan, Ronnie Cottrell & wife, Shannon, Kyler Cottrell; her great grandchildren, Lindsey Edwards, Haley Edwards, Noah Hudson, Eddie Griffith, Ellie Griffith as well as numerous nieces & nephews.  

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1022 Commerce Street, Suite 3C, Lynchburg, VA  24504

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Patmos United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Barton officiating.   Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
