Obituary of Dorothy Bowling Roach

Dorothy Bowling Roach, 71 of Huddleston, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  She was born on Tuesday, September 30, 1947 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late John William Bowling and Ruby Dillon Bowling.

She was a seamstress and was a member of  Patmos United Methodist Church.  

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane Hershman; sons, James William Roach, Bobby Glenn Roach; her brothers, Lewis Bowling; her sisters, Edith Edwards, Joyce Gay; her grandchildren, Michael Roach, Brian Roach, Holly Gardner, Brandi Little; her great-grandchildren, Rylle Roach, Gabrial Gardner.  

Funeral services will be held at the graveside at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 Patmos United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
