Obituary of Josephine Angle Reynolds

Josephine Angle Reynolds, 89 of Bedford, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on Saturday, April 13, 1929  in Concord, NC, a daughter of the late Franklin Monroe Angle and Helen Louise Stephens Angle.  She was also preceded in death by her son Col. Richard F. Favati (Retired) and her sister, Vivian Dunn.  

She was owner and operator of Longwood Florist, was a member of the Bedford Elks Lodge #2844 and a member at Bedford Christian Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Charles McAnally Reynolds of Bedford; a daughter, Jan Favati Lucas & husband, Tee of Hartsville, SC; two sons, Charles Reynolds, Jr. & wife, Lea Ann of Dunedin, FL; and Richard W. Reynolds & wife, Mary of Carrollton, TX; three brothers, William Angle of Corpus Christi, TX, Victor Angle of Winston-Salem, NC, and Andrew Angle of Seattle, WA; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  

The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bedford Christian Church Scholarship Fund. 

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 pm on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Dr. David Walton and Rev. Jim Compton officiating.  Interment will be private in Greenwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
