Jean Musgrove Witt, 76 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Thursday, May 3, 1934 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Jesse Giles Musgrove and Ruby Carter Musgrove. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Witt, Sr. and a brother, Walter Musgrove. She was a retired bookkeeper & clerk at the Big Orange Market. Surviving are her sons, Jimmy Witt & wife, Gwen of Lynch Station, Cotton Witt & wife, Margie of Bedford, Todd Witt & wife, Tina of Ohio; daughters, Patsy Powell & husband, Jimmy of Altavista, Tracy Witt & friend, Roger Manley of Bedford, Tamra Witt & friend, Bryant Dellis of Huddleston; a sister, Agnes M. Fellers of Bedford, eighteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Travis Witt officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday after 1 PM and the family will receive friends from 6 utnil 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and other times at the home of Cotton & Margie Witt, 1770 Turkey Mountain Road, Bedford.
