Obituary of Daisey Martin Kirby

Daisey Martin  Kirby, 76 of Bedford, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center.  She was born on Sunday, May 17, 1942  in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Terry Martin and Ruth Martin Martin.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Julius Omar Kirby, Jr.

She was a retired loom operator at Belding-Corticelli. 

She is survived by her daughter, Eve Kirby; her son, Adam Kirby; her grandsons, Kenneth Kirby Justin Kirby; her sisters, Verna Newell, Lillian Harless, Betty Mays, Christine Terry; two nieces & three nephews.  

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating at Virginia Memorial Park.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
