Obituary of Drema Lynn Mayhew

Drema Lynn Mayhew, 58 of Moneta, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on Friday, November 25, 1960 in Roanoke, a daughter of Elton Tuck Mayhew of Moneta and the late Boyd Clifton Mayhew.  She was owner of Footloose Transport.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Roy Clifton Hill, Jr.; her daughters, Cassie Bowles Mitchell & husband, Roscoe, Hattie Lynn Lowrance & husband, Christopher; her grandchildren, Breyonna Mitchell, Levi Mitchell, Amythyst Lowrance, Sapphire Lowrance; her sisters, JoAnn M. Lloyd & husband, Mac, Tina M. Bullin & husband, Bob; her brother, Buddy W. Mayhew & wife, Mary as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Jesus chose to take her home peacefully early Monday morning. Drema's legacy will live through her surviving family whom she loved unconditionally and joyfully.  She lived fearlessly and all who came in contact with her knew she would remain a friend forever.  Drema enjoyed everything about the outdoors, she loved seeing the countryside on horseback and the time she spent in the school system working with children.  Her most recent happy moments were spent with her husband Roy, as owners of Footloose Transport, giving Drema  the opportunity to spend precious time traveling with her husband.
