Obituary of Lois Ruff Overstreet

Lois Ruff Overstreet, 91 of Thaxton, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Saturday, August 6, 1927  in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Junie Reeves Ruff and Olie Robertson Ruff.  She was also preceded in death by husband, William Otie Overstreet. 

She was a retired from Sam Moore Furniture.

She is survived by her daughters, Susie Dooley & husband, Edward of Thaxton, Lillian Logwood & husband, Jerry of Bedford, Judy Orange & fiance, Tony Edwards of Thaxton, Donna Dooley & husband, David of Thaxton; her sons, Bennie Overstreet of Thaxton, Michael Overstreet & wife, Rosemary of Thaxton; special friend, Debbie Goff; her brother, Cecil Ruff of Thaxton; her sister, Peggy Nester of Bedford as well as eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Earl Ragland officiating.  Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
