George Christopher Albach, 88 of Huddleston passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, January 15, 1922 in Bayonne, NJ, a son of the late George Albach and Ethel Albach. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Hogan. He lived in Port Mammoth, NJ for 50 years and retired from Prudential Insurance Company after 35 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Military. Surviving is his wife, Mary Higgins Albach; three sons, George Albach of Huddleston, Carl Albach & wife, Alexis of Central City, KY, Tom Albach of Huddleston; a daughter, Mary Arnold & husband, Ray of Weatherford, TX; six grandchildren, Chip Albach & wife, Kim, Geoffrey Albach & wife, Katie, Sharon Albach, Amanda Albach, Susan Albach, Mitch Albach, four great-grandchildren, C. J., Kaitlin, Mason & Greg Albach; a brother, William Albach of NJ; a sister, Ethel McCabe of Bayonne, NJ. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials to consider the Salvation Army or St. Judes Hospital. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church with Father Louis Benoit officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Catholic Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 9 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church.
