I can't express in words how saddened I am to hear of Hope's passing. Hope was a special person and friend to me in high school and CVCC. Those were special years and her friendship was one of life's blessings. She gave special gifts such as her smile and laughter, words of wisdom ( from one teenager to another) and a listening ear, creativity in gifts she would make for you, sharing her wonderful family with me and a lot of good memories, She will stay alive in my heart and mind forever, Please accept my condolences; my love and prayers to Don and the Mackey family, RIP Hope

I worked with Hope many years ago at C B Fleet. We shared so many good times and laughter. She was so talented and artistic and I still have several items she made for me for special occasions. Many thoughts are with Don and her family.

I am so very saddened to hear of the passing of Hope. She was my best friend in high school. We enjoyed school band together. She was a very loving and caring person. She will be missed very much by many people that she has touched in her life. I will be looking forward to meeting up with her again some day.

Our hearts were broken to learn of Hope's passing. Our families grew-up together. This lone sister among 4 brothers learned how to more than survive- she was that exceptionally creative person who showed her love in remodeling their homes and loving their children. Hope always found the positive in life and with her warm and humble spirit, she offered a kind and gentle smile to others. She will be greatly missed. Our most sincere sympathy to Don and the Mackey family.

I send my sincere sorrow for Hope's family in the loss of her...I am not at all surprised that Rob Slaughter was there for her, I've known Robbie since we were young kids, and his mom is Hope's Dad's sister, I saw a lot of Hope in those young years. I dearly loved her grandmother, whom all her grandchildren called Nun-nee...she lovingly allowed me to call her that too, shes in paradise now...may your hearts be comforted by Him and to Robbie I say hello, you were my best friend, and I'm proud of your devotion to Hope...love, Cookie

Dear Don & family, I was so sorry to hear about Hope’s passing. I knew Hope years ago when we were kids, when our family lived next door to her family on Peaksview St. I
remember Hope as being a dear friend, full of life & laughter! Even though we lost track over the years, I would think of her often with very fond memories. I imagine she left a big hole in the hearts of those close to her, Hope was very special!

Don and the whole Mackey family, I am so saddened to learn of Hope's passing to Heaven, not for her as I know she is in a much better place as her eyes may have closed here, but they opened immediately to Heaven and Christ. Hope was always so full of life and happiness. I don't remember ever seeing a time where she wasn't her usual bubbly self. Even though I didn't see her that often, it was always so fun to run into her and get a chance to briefly talk and catch up. I will pray for all of you as I understand the miss that will be in each of your hearts and I pray that all of the good memories will fill those feeling of miss with love and happiness until we who love Christ will get to see her again.
