Obituary of Herbert Anderson Martin

Herbert Anderson Martin, age 88, of Henrico went to be with His Lord on Thursday, July 25th, 2019. He was born in Moneta, VA on February 8th, 1931 to the late George and Roxie Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Hope Martin; one son, Herbert A. Martin II and his wife Janine; one daughter, DeLaine Martin Burns and her husband Ed; three grandsons, Phillip, Austin, and William Burns; one brother, George Calvin Martin; various nieces, nephews and cousins as well as special friends. 

A celebration gathering & visitation will be held at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford, VA on Monday, July 29 from 11:00 AM-1:00PM.  Herbert, also lovingly known as Honey, Pop, Gramps and Ol Gezer, will be laid to rest following this visitation at the Martin family cemetery in Moneta, VA at 2:00PM.
