Obituary of Russell Kyle Orange, Sr.

Russell Kyle Orange, Sr., 83 of Thaxton, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on Thursday, May 21, 1936  in Bedford County, a son of the late Jasper R. Orange and Audrey Bell Carter Orange.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Orange Orange & a son, Tony L. Orange.

He was retired from the Rubatex Corporation.

He is survived by his son, Russell K. Orange, Jr.; his daughters, Kathy Orange King, Cindy Jean Orange; his sisters, Betty Reno, Lois Dye.  

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Earl Ragland officiating.  Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 until 5 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
