My most vivid memory of Polly was when my grandmother, "Sister" to the family, passed away in 1976. Polly came to our house with lots of food so us kids wouldn't miss dinner. She took charge and helped with details that needed to be attended to regarding the funeral. Every time I was around her it was a positive experience! I will always think of her with a smile...
It's been decades since I've seen her sons, but wanted to send them my sympathy at this time of loss.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Steve and Johnny and their families at this difficult time. My memories of Polly go way back to when Chuck, Gene & I would go through the woods from behind Galax St and the path would empty in their back yard. We would play hard for hours and then go to the radio station and buy a bottle of coke from the machine for a dime and she would give anyone who didn't have a dime one so they wouldn't be left out Steve & I were born on the very same day 8-14-1954 and Johnny was born 1 day after my older twin brothers Chuck & Gene o 06-28-1953 but our mom & Polly shared a hospital room at the John Russel Hospital both years and we all grew up just 1 street over from them. I remember they had beagle dogs and yes, we made sure we stopped at their house on Halloween. We got the best treats even though we were full of tricks. Polly would bring out kool aid and a snack for us when we would gather in their yard which was a lot. I will be praying for Steve & Johnny for strength in the coming days & weeks ahead

Mrs Turner was such a sweet lady. I know she was such a awsome mother grandmother awaut onnd g grand mother. I knew her as a custoner at Leggett when I worked there. She always had a smile and a joy to wait on as she worked to purchase just the right material to make into a beautiful garment. Cherious all the wonderful memories.and share them.

My condolences to the family. My cousin Polly was such a warm and caring lady. I remember trick-or-treating at her house as a child. She gave out full size candy bars during a time when many gave out apples or pennies. She was always so kind and helpful to my mother Gladys (Maude's daughter). May the fond memories of this lovely lady comfort you in the days and months ahead. God bless you.
