Raymond Clarence Ruff, Sr., 68 of Bedford, VA passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at  his residence.  He was born on Wednesday, May 16, 1951 in Bedford County, a son of the late Wallace Munford Ruff and Ruby Virginia Overstreet Ruff.  

He was a Truck Driver with  Boxley and a member of the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Miller Ruff; his son, Raymond C. Ruff, Jr., & wife, JoAllison; his daughter, Angela R. Shepherd & fiance, David Patton; his grandchildren, Crystal Shepherd, Bridgette Ruff, James Shepherd, Troy Ruff, Melony Shepherd; his great-granddaughter, Carolina Shepherd; his brothers, Amos Burks Ruff, Willie Ruff; sisters, Ida Ruff, Debra Thompson & Linda Easter.  

The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider monetary donations to Mrs. Ruff to offset funeral expenses.  

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 12:30 PM on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Holy Land Cemetery with Rev. Burks Ruff officiating.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
