Joanne Patsel Hawks, 81 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Saturday, April 23, 1938 in Roanoke, VA, a daughter of the late Alex Patsel and Margaret Fletcher Peggins Patsel . She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hoover Hawks, Sr..
Survivors include her great grandson, Cody Thomas. At her request, there are no services Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
