Frank Whorley Obituary

Frank Wendell Whorley, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was born in Bedford Co., a son of the late Aubrey L. Whorley and Zula Jones Whorley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lynn Whorley and Gerald Whorley and a sister, Leona Whorley Zimmerman. He was a retired employee of Rubatax Corporation and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for thirty-one years. Surviving is his wife of forty-six years, Jean M.Whorley; a son, Mark W. Whorley & wife, Lauren of Lynchburg; three granddaughters, Kate, Faith & Alexis Whorley; a sister-in-law, Thelma Whorley of Berryville, and eight nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Ray Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 10 AM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
