Minnie Lang George, 79 of Bedford, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Friday, July 31, 1931 in Richmond, a daughter of the late Lonnie Linwood Lang and Grace Ellett Lang Cable. She was also preceded in death by a son, David Walter George and a sister, Mary Lang Hubbard. She was a retired employee of Stuart Circle Hospital in Richmond. Surviving are her daughters, Deborah Lynn Toms & husband, R. Dale of Bedford, Diane T. Kimbrough of Richmond; a son, Darryl C. George, Richmond; two grandchildren, Christy and Tyler Kimbrough. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that you do something nice for someone with Alzheimers or make a donation to the Bedford Humane Society, P. O. Box 1293, Bedford, VA 24523. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev.Wayne Murphy officiating.
