Roger Dale Kidd, 65 of Forest, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, August 7, 1954 in Lynchburg, VA, a son of Spencer Lacy Kidd, Sr. and the late Sarah Reynolds Kidd. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Eaton Kidd and a brother, Spencer Kidd, Jr. He was a Millwright at Consolidated Equipment and a lifelong mechanic. In addition to his father, he is also survived by his sons, Roger Kidd, Jr. & wife, Cathy of Roanoke and Cody Kidd & wife, Katie of Lovell, WY; sisters, Kathy Kidd of Hurt and Pamela Hall of Altavista; grandchildren, Kevin, Kenny, Brittany, Emma, Samantha & Harley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Altavista Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Whit Mayton officiating. Interment will follow in Tree of Life Cemetery also in Altavista. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
