Matthew Clifford Reed, 57 of Bedford passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He was born on Tuesday, November 6, 1962 in Winchester, VA, a son of the late William Turner Reed and Patricia Anne Moriarity Reed. He was a self employed Home Inspector and a member of Jordontown Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Crouch Reed of Bedford; a daughter, Drew Reed of Jacksonville, NC, a step-son, Adam Werle of Fredricksburg; a step-daughter, Kayla Donahue & husband, Bradlee of Roanoke; grandsons, Jackson Donahue & Adrian Werle; brothers, Tommy Reed, John Reed, Mike Reed & Mark Reed. Matt has gone home to be with the Lord. He was a Godly man and touched many lives. He was a good husband, father and Pawpaw. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Jordantown Church of God with Pastor Michael D. Werle officiating. Interment will follow at Palestine Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
