Emma Elizabeth Richardson, 91 of Bedford, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Wednesday, August 15, 1928 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late James M. Padgett and Leona J. Graves Padgett. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Schoonover & Vivian Richardson; her sons, Raymond Schoonover, Riley Schoonover, Richard Schoonover, Ronald Schoonover; her brothers, Beverly W. Padgett, Earl S. Padgett; her sisters, Joanne Peters, Betty Willard.
She is survived by her son, Robert Schoonover; her daughter, Ruth Ann Taylor as well as her nieces, Carole Webb, Karen Majerczyk, Rebecca Taylor, Mary Padgett and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 1 PM with Rev. Roger McKinney officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
