I have been overseas and just saw that Mrs Lewis passed away. She and
Mr. Lewis lived across the street from me when I was 10 (in VA Beach). They paid me to weed their garden and iron (I am sure just to give me $). . They were awesome. When they moved to NC, they kept in touch and followed me through high school. After Mr. Lewis died and she moved to Bedford, I stopped by anytime I drove down I81. She was a Proverbs 31 woman - frequently sending me uplifting and encouraging letters. She will be missed but I know she is happy in heaven. RIP.
