Obituary of Sandra Kaye Creasy

Sandra Kaye Creasy, 66 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Centra Bedford Hospice House. She was born on Thursday, September 30, 1954 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Frederick Columbus Creasy, Sr. and Willie Kate Mason Creasy. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Columbus Creasy, Jr. Sandra graduated from Staunton River High School in 1972 and from Radford University in 1976 and received her Masters Degree in Communications from the Lynchburg University. She taught Special Education at Staunton River High School and after her retirement she taught at Bedford Science and Technology Center. She was also a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She is survived by her brother, Gary William Creasy & wife, Susan; her sister-in-law, Barbara Grubb Creasy; her nieces, Kathryn Creasy, Angela Creasy Thompson & husband, Stephen and her great nephew, Jaycen Creasy and great niece, Zoe Creasy-Thompson. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Gideons International, Bedford County Camp, P. O. Box 791, Bedford, VA 2423 or Morgans Baptist Church 250th Anniversary Fund, 2086 Morgans Church Road, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Greenwood Cemetery at 2 PM on Monday, October 19, 2020 with Rev. Jason Arthur officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
