Fletcher Douglas Pleasant, Jr., 78 of Lynch Station, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, July 2, 1942 in Yanceyville, NC, a son of the late Fletcher Douglas Pleasant, Sr. and Carrie Inez Soloman Pleasant. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Franklin McArthur Pleasant and Larry Edward Pleasant. Fletcher served in the United States Army and retired from Goodyear. He was a member of Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy in Lynch Station, VA. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many who will be dearly missed. Fletcher is survived by his life partner, Doris Jones of Lynch Station, VA; son, Shawn Pleasant & wife Laura of Reidsville, NC; son, Dwayne Pleasant of Danville, VA; sister, Eunice Pleasant Wall; granddaughter, Mason Pleasant; grandsons, Antonio Crisco and Shane Crisco; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service to honor Fletcher’s life will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, November 12, 2020 at God’s Grace Baptist Church, 88 Bethesda Church Rd. Ruffin, NC (Casville) with Pastor Wayne Jones officiating. The family will be available for visitation from 2:00pm – 3:00pm prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
