Rena Carter Bradley, 99 of Bedford, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was born on Thursday, July 20, 1911 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Oscar Carter and Lelia Overstreet Carter . She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bradley, Sr. and a son, Fred Bradley Jr.. She was a retired employee of Hampton Looms of Virginia. She is survived by four daughters, Julia B. Martin and Darleen B. Johnson, both of Bedford, Virginia B. Triplett of Pasadena, MD, Sarah B. Graham of Baton Rouge, LA; two sons, Robert E. Bradley and Mickey R. Bradley both of Bedford; a sister, Eula C. Orange of Trenton, NJ; twenty two grandchildren & numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Updike Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
