Wynnie White Foster, 80 of Thaxton, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Saturday, October 19, 1940 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late William S. White and Dorothy Hughes White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Arvid Foster, Sr., her sister, Sandra Rowland and her daughter-in-law, Joan Foster. She was retired from Sam Moore Furniture and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Richard A. Foster, Jr & wife, Erin, Mark A. Foster; her grandchildren, Cory Foster & husband, Brandon, Daniel Foster, Sarah Alderman & husband, Chris, Jude Foster, David Foster; her great granddaughter, Lydia Alderman; a brother, Billy W. White & wife, Katie; sister-in-law, Sandra Stephens as well as nephews, David Key, Joey Adams; a great niece, Kelly Key. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The Foster family and Updike Funeral Home request everyone follow CDC guidelines and wear a mask and observe social distancing. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
