Susie Overstreet Dooley, 76 of Thaxton, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, August 13, 1944 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late William Otey Overstreet and Lois Ruff Overstreet . She was also preceded in death her husband, Edward Lewis "Goody" Dooley.
She was retired from Rubatex Corporation.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Dooley & wife, Connie, Earl Overstreet; her grandchildren, Jeannie Crawn & husband, Jon, Jessica Lee & husband, Keith, Zack Overstreet, Hannah Overstreet, Matthew Overstreet and her great grandchildren, Gracie Clemons, Jackson Lee, Natalya Overstreet, Athena Overstreet, Amelia Overstreet, Aiden Brugh and William Franklin; her sisters, Lillian Logwood & husband, J. J., Judy Orange & companion, Tony, Donna Dooley & husband, David; her brothers, Bennie Overstreet, Michael Overstreet,
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
