Obituary of Lois Creasey Blankenship

Lois Creasey Blankenship, 79 of Bedford, VA passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, November 30, 1941 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Samuel Benjamin Creasey and Nellie Daniel Creasey. She was also preceded in death by a step-son, Jackie Thompson, her brothers, Samuel W. Creasey, Leonard W. Creasey and her sisters, Annie Creasey Lacy, Betty Creasey Stephenson. She was retired from Ericsson and was a member of Morgans Baptist Church although she grew up in Ephesus United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Bobbie O. Blankenship; her foster child, Cindy Thompson Foster & husband, Richard; her brother, Billy W. Creasey & wife, Rosalie; her sisters, Fern C. Hargis & husband, George, Joyce C. Hawkins, Margaret C. Holland & husband, Doug. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider the Alzheimers Association, 3831 Old Forest Road, Suite 7, Lynchburg, 24504 . A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Morgans Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Parker and Rev. Jason Arthur officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
