Fannie Davis Gardner, 96 of Bedford, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Cardinal Senior Living. She was born on Thursday, January 1, 1925 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late John William Davis and Dollie Ann Hensley Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Samuel Gardner.
She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, William Gardner & wife, Jeanette, Harford Gardner & wife, Linda, Steve Gardner & wife, Betty; her brothers, Andrew Davis, Robert Davis, Sherman Davis as well as seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bethesda United Methodist Church, 14340 Wyatts Way, Huddleston, VA 24104
A funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Claire Miller officiating. There is no visitation and will be no committal. The Gardner family and Updike Funeral Home requests that everyone follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask to the service.
