Obituary of Gary Dwight McSwain

Gary Dwight McSwain, 74 of Huddleston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his residence after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Monday, October 7, 1946 in Amarillo, TX, the only son of the late Edwin McSwain and Hazel Nelson McSwain. He lived and worked in Texas until the early 90's when he moved to Alaska and lived for twenty-five years. He is survived by Rebecca Bullman McSwain, his wife of twenty years; his son, Chris Mazen & wife, Tressie; his granddaughters, Jamie McCoy & her husband, Haley Henrickson & her husband and his "older, but younger looking" cousin, Shirley Couch. Gary loved his family and friend, golf and RVing, but most important was his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At his request, there will be no service. Memorial gifts can be made to Huddleston Community Church, 1993 Glenwood Drive, Bedford, VA 24523 or the charity of your choice.
