Saford Jay Hugh Fielder, 69 of Bedford, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at Carilion Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, August 12, 1941 in Bedford County, a son of the late Oscar Phillmore Fielder and Elsie Aliff Fielder. Surviving are his daughters, Dawn Hoffman of Bedford, Cynthia Marie Hostutler of Roanoke; two sisters, Linda Tuck, Pearl Kendrick both of Bedford; four grandchildren, Richard Turman of Roanoke, Destiny, Brian and Steven Hostutler. Thre will be no visitation at the funeral home; a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
