David P. Bowden, 67, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Gussie Bowden & brother, William (Weggie) Bowden. David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and telling them “stories”. Surviving is his mother, Lucienne B. Doom Bowden; his son, Shawn Bowden & wife, Donna; daughter, Jessi Fielder & husband, James; grandchildren, Taylor Watkins & husband, Travis, Jacob Bowden, Benjamin & Emerson Cadle; sisters, Ingrid Woodford, Brenda Padgett, Kathy Updike; aunt, Jean Witt; special friends, Brenda & Wayne Witt & numerous other family & friends. The family will receive friends at a later date. Arrangements made by Updike Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford.
