Carolyn was absolutely one of my dearest friends from the day we met in Mrs. Padgett's 3rd. grade classroom, all through school, and as we became mothers and grandmothers. We kept the bond known between lifelong classmates, girlfriends, and always laughed about something! Luckily, we continued to be in the same classes during elementary, middle, and high school and graduated in the Liberty High School "Sprit of '76" Class of 1976. While at LHS we rocked the field or the gym as the band played during pep rallies and games since she was a majorette (and tried earnestly to teach me to twirl her baton) while I was on the marching drill team shaking red, white, and blue pom poms. The parades, competitions, all the memories are like yesterday!
She married her high school sweetheart as did I. We shared the thrill of motherhood as we brought our (1st.) baby boys to each other right after they were born! We never moved from Bedford, so our paths crossed often. We became substitute teachers at our Alma Mater, LHS, among other common ground events we shared. But most special is the memory of two little 9 year-old girls together, in their school library looking at books about horses, Carolyn was explaining to me the difference between a work-horse and a Tennessee Walker, and I can see her face in mine as she said, "You don't know your hosses!" How right she was! I loved her like a sister. God's peace to Mike and her precious family. Annette L. Kendall

I worked across the hall from Carolyn in the 1970s. She was a fine person. Lot of good memories. She will certainly be missed.
My condolences to her family
