Junior Buford Creasy, 81 of Thaxton, VA passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was born on Friday, February 14, 1930 in Bedford County, VA, a son of the late Clovis Ashby Creasy and Willie Jane Hawkins Creasy. He was preceded in death by wife, Lilly Marie Anderson Creasy and three brothers; Edward "Fuzzy" Creasy, Richard "Punkin" Creasy and Robert Creasy. He was a retired employee of Webster Brick. Surviving are his sons, Marvin Junior Creasy & wife, Sherry of Huddleston, Roger L. Creasy & wife, Julie of Bedford, Danny Ray Creasy & wife, Lynn of Thaxton, Grandchildren; Randall Creasy, Jeremy Creasy, Philip Creasy, Jessica Creasy, Daniel Creasy; two brothers, Melvin Creasy & wife Nancy of Annapolis, MD, Herbert "Dink" Creasy & wife Bernice of Moneta; five sisters, Annie Mae Puckett & husband Glenn of Thaxton, Mary Jane Moorman of Thaxton, Virginia Mays & husband Barry of Blue Ridge, Polly Widner & husband Trent of Fincastle, Nadine Epperson & husband Danny of Brookneal and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Overstreet Family Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Basham officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 - 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
