Linda Dianne Boothe, 64 of Bedford passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. She went home to be with the Lord and to join her mom, Nolie Giles Markham, dad, Joseph Walter Boothe, sister, Peggy Jo Tyler and stepdad, Bill Markham, all of whom she missed dearly. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter & Mary Giles, William & Ollie Boothe, brothers-in-law, Mike Harris & Bobby Tyler and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dog, Tippy. Linda will be missed and remembered by her loving sisters, Debbie Harris, and Karen Harris; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Harris; her beloved nephew, Zachary Harris & fiancé, Katie Smith; Aunt, Vivian Walker; stepsister, Pam Mutter & husband, Ronnie, and their family; as well as many cousins and friends. Linda was a 1975 graduate of Liberty High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Lewis-Gale Hospital for 30 years. She enjoyed beach trips with family and friends, fishing, camping, bowling, all types of music and anything outdoors. In lieu of food or flowers donations may be made in her memory to Roanoke Valley SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Avenue, N.E., Roanoke, VA 24012. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Brian Hughes officiating.
