Janet Marvin-Dames, 84, of Florida, born and raised in Covington, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson Marvin; son, Steven Marquette & granddaughter, Gina Marquette. Surviving are sons, Rickie Marquette & Michael Marquette; daughter, Tammie Rice; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren all whom she loved; brother, Gerry Dames; numerous nieces, nephews, other family & friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Marquette-Jeter Family Cemetery, 1397 Lizard Ridge Road, Bedford, VA 24523. Arrangements by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
