Obituary of Carl Benjamin Brown

Carl Benjamin “Benjy” Brown, 59, of Roanoke passed away on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 after an extended  and brave illness. 

He was preceded in death in by his parents Clarence Brown Sr. and Maglover Brown, and his brothers; Joseph Brown and Clarence Brown, Jr. 

He is survived by sister-in-law, Yuanita Brown; several nieces & nephews; special friend and caregiver Kimberly Price; his Jesus is Lord Assembly of Love church family, and many friends whose lives he touched. 

Benjy was a light to all who knew him, and even on his worst days, his faith shined brightly. He was a talented singer, lending his talents to his church praise team. He was a dependable friend, and his laugh was absolutely contagious.

A service celebrating Benjy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 18th at Jesus is Lord Assembly of Love Church in Roanoke at 1:00 pm. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service.
