Obituary of Robert Francis Walker

Robert "Bobby" Walker, 69 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1952 in Bedford County, a son of the late Robert Walker and Louise Holland Walker.  

Bobby grew up in the Town of Bedford but was a country boy at heart.  During his early adult years, he worked for Northrop Gruman and was a police officer for some time.  He worked for Smyth Co. until his retirement while farming the Walker farm after his father became disabled.  Bobby loved the beach and going out to eat.   

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Overstreet Walker; son, Brad Creasy; a brother, Bill Walker;  his sisters, Janet Putney, Sue Holdren; step-son, Kevin Seay as well as his grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church and a memorial service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Russ Alden officiating.
