Patricia Roach Krantz, 60 of Hurt, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at her residence. She was born on Monday, October 2, 1950 in Bedford County, VA, a daughter of the late Dave Roach and Lois Ann Wright Roach. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benford Aubrey Krantz. She is survived by a son, Bennie Wayne Krantz & fiance, Roxanne Bennett of Gretna; three sisters, Becky Leftwich & husband, Jim of Moneta, Mildred Sines & husband, Ronald of Bedford, Jessica Woods & friend, David of Vinton; four brothers, Donald Roach & friend, Judy Holstein of Thaxton, Brother, Rickey Roach, Ronnie Roach of Huddleston, Jeff Roach of Bedford; a grandson, Wayne Colby Krantz, and two step-grandchildren, Samantha & Adam Bennett. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston. Interment will follow in Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
