Judy Elizabeth Wood Williams (Nana), 69, of Bedford, gained her wings on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was born on September 4, 1952 in Buena Vista, Va., the daughter of the late Clarence & Lora Wood and the widow of the late John Simmerman Williams.

Surviving are her sisters, Connie, Gail & Norma; her fiancé, whom she dearly loved and will miss her greatly, Virgil Lee McCratic; sons, Craig Alderman & wife, Jennifer, Chad Alderman & wife, Kimberly; grandchildren, Kandice Renee Alderman, Katherine Elizabeth Alderman, Cameron Joseph Alderman, Anjelica Maria Alderman Morales, Mercy Elizabeth Wright, Emma Rhys Alderman & Baylee Quinn Alderman; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Grace Alderman, John Zachariah Walz, Joseph Bradley Walz, Elijah King Stewart, Josiah Theo Alderman & Rosalinda Kay Morales; numerous nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Tree of Life Ministries, 2812 Greenview Drive, Lynchburg and a funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Dodson and Pastor Ray Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Land Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
